One of the most important factors of successful integration is building relational bridges between refugees and the local community. In fact, a five-year study concluded that social bridging was equally as important to integration as learning the local language or even finding a job. The G2 Program was created to provide a platform that helps facilitate the social bridging process.
G2 Partners is a program that pairs a refugee or immigrant with a member of the local community. The purpose is for two people from different cultures to come together as equals for the purpose of building a friendship and then sharing that story with others. If you would like to participate in this program fill out the volunteer application under the VOLUNTEER tab and we will add you to the list for next fall.
G2 Events are an informal gathering of individuals from culturally diverse communities that come together to share a meal and enjoy interaction through games and conversation. Look for our next one coming this Spring!
